To create your first OpenRack project, first navigate to your homepage at
https://openrackhq.com/app/home. Then, select "New Project". A popup will appear asking for basic information about your new Project.
The Name is how your project will be displayed in the project browser. The Type sets the root object type. This can be any of the following: Rack, Appliance or Component. For most use cases, Rack is what you want. However, you can also create an Appliance or Component project if you'd like to create a custom rack-mounted appliance or a component that is compatible with a slot in a custom appliance or an appliance from the Library.
Please note that once you select a project type, you won't be able to change it. However, you can always export you project as RML and then import it into another project later.
Finally, you can set an optional SKU. This is an additional field that you can set to match with your existing inventory system to make searching for your project easier later.
